- Our filters are produced from sustainably harvested oak branches that are fired in handmade outdoor ovens
- The paper used to make our label is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Certified, and Rainforest Alliance Certified. We print the label using environmentally friendly processes
- We use recycled paper stock in packaging the filters
- The clear sleeves that encase the filters are made from wood pulp and are completely compostable
Purchase of our reusable water filters includes a 6-month supply of granules.
About Kishu Charcoal
Your search for reusable Brita filters ends with Kishu Charcoal. We offer the only completely plastic-free water filters for the Brita-style and PUR dispensers. Launched in 2011, our company produces filters that are made from the finest Japanese activated charcoal. Artisans in Japan use traditional methods and handmade kilns to produce the charcoal that acts as the filter. The charcoal is derived from sustainably harvested oak branches that are transformed into a hard, glass-like material. Get your eco-friendly filter and enjoy the most delicious, fresh-tasting tap water. It’s good for you and the environment!
